Fairhaven Country Guesthouse Covid-19 secure policy
To reduce the risk of contamination during your stay we have implemented certain measures which are different to the norm to ensure ongoing safety for guests and ourselves. – but we aim to make your stay with us the friendly, comfortable and relaxing experience we have become noted for. We have conducted a thorough and detailed risk assessment, completed an online Covid awareness course and invested in industrial grade sanitizing products. We can confidently state that we have successfully met the Covid 19 Industry Standard which reassures guests that we have followed government and Industry guidelines ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and social distancing.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance for guests use.
Masks are to be worn in public areas by guests and staff.
Minimum of 1.5m distance between staff and guests is to be observed at all times.
Check-in is contactless, no forms to fill in. Your sanitised key will be in your room.
Although we would prefer to limit this service, help with luggage is given where necessary but handles will be wiped.
We can ensure that that there will only be one party checking it at any one time. If your arrival coincides with another party there may be a short wait.
Prior to departure any outstanding balance will be automatically taken from the card details provided at booking. Receipt will be emailed to guest.
PUBLIC AREAS
Guests are requested to observe a minimum 1.5m distance between themselves and other guests/staff at all times.
Hand sanitiser is provided in the hall. Please use as you enter the guesthouse and/or public rooms.
Increased frequency of cleaning in public areas is in place using medical grade sanitiser. Special attention is given to frequent touch points such as door handles, light switches, stair rail.
We understand that some guests may not wish to use the public guest lounge but we will make this available to those that do. We have removed all magazines and leaflets but these are available on request. There may be occasions when the guest lounge is out of use, for example if we are using it for breakfast service.
BREAKFAST
Use of hand sanitiser provided is requested before entering breakfast room.
1.5m minimum distance will be observed between tables in the breakfast room. We may also place tables in our large guest lounge when occupancy levels demand.
Our breakfast buffet has been removed but options will be available to be ordered at the table
A new in-room breakfast option is available which can be delivered to your room at a requested time.
Cooked breakfast and in-room breakfast options are to be pre-ordered the night before.
BEDROOMS
All rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to occupancy.
Any unnecessary soft furnishings such as cushions and throws have been removed.
The guest information folder has been removed but this is available electronically.
All bedding has been professionally laundered.
A daily room service for multiple night stays unfortunately cannot be provided so:
- Anti-bacterial wipes are provided should you wish to wipe down bathroom, tea tray etc
- If you require fresh towels please leave outside your room
- Please tie up any full bin liners and leave outside your room. Spare bin liners are provided. Please also leave any dirty cups/glasses to be replaced.
- If you need any tea tray items or toiletries replenishing please fill in the request sheet and leave outside your room
SUSPECTED COVID INFECTION
If a guest shows any Coronavirus symptoms then please let us know immediately. You and any members of your party will be asked to check out immediately.
